TGDH: 10-19-89

Today in Grateful Dead History we’ve selected a show from 1989 at the Spectrum in Philly. The Dead first played the Spectrum in 1972 and made a total of 53 appearances at the venue, the last being March 19, 1995. We’ve enjoyed many a Spectrum shows and this one doesn’t fail!. The band, coming off their “publicized” peak of Spring 1989 hit this fall tour with much enthusiasm. What’s not to love about a first set Cumberland The second set begins with a Help>Slip>Franklins and the Slipknot is a highlight taking us there-and-back-again.  Certain to bring a smile to the most jaded of heads.

Our Show Highlights:

What’s not to love about a first set Cumberland! The second set begins with a Help>Slip>Franklins and the Slipknot is a highlight taking us there-and-back-again.  Eyes has a certain march quality but they tear it up nonetheless and we get a Death Don’t!

Enjoy!
