TGDH: Grateful Dead Live at Fillmore Auditorium on 11-7-1969

Welcome to Today in Grateful Dead History and we bring you a show from 11-7-1969 at the Fillmore Auditorium.  We selected this particular version due to the outstanding sound quality (Charlie Miller you’ve got some big ears!) and it’s a terrific treat.

Morning Dew, Hard To Handle, Casey Jones, Mama Tried, Me & My Uncle, Cold Rain & Snow, Next Time You See Me, High Time, Good Lovin’-> Drums-> Good Lovin’, China Cat Sunflower-> I Know You Rider, Dark Star-> Cryptical Envelopement-> Drums-> The Other One-> Cryptical Envelopement-> Turn On Your Love Light

Tasting Notes

We start off with a Morning Dew, and it left us asking “where do we go from here?”, right into a Hard to Handle.  We enjoyed the tuning jam and the and the Next Time You See Me duet with Jerry and Pig Pen – both singing a real blues. Good Lovin was faced paced – probably because they were very excited to get to their idea of Dark Star and try out the UJB jam in the middle. FAR OUT and the Lovelight was a great show ender.
