TGDH: Grateful Dead Live at Worcester Centrum 1983

For some reason, folks think that the early 80’s were more of a transitional period, with the change in the lineup to Brent on keys. We always find change to be good and this show is an example of the Band reinvigorating their music with Brent taking the keys into a more prominent position (Keith’s playing diminished greatly from 1977 to his exit from the Band in  1979). You can hear the evidence in the Scarlet->Fire and the transition play between Jerry and Brent. To say they were locked in is an understatement with Brent pushing Jerry and you can hear the smile in Jerry’s playing to meet Brent’s enthusiasm!
