TGDH: Grateful Dead Live Concert Video at Rochester War Memorial 11-8-1985

Welcome to Today in Grateful Dead History and we bring you a special treat – Grateful Dead live concert video from Rochester War Memorial 11-8-1985.  As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words, and we’ll let the video speak for the show and the audio quality is quite good too!

Set List

Set 1: Iko-Iko, Little Red Rooster, Peggy-O, My Brother Esau, Brown Eyed Women, Baby What You Want, Jack Straw, Might as Well

Set 2: Revolution, Estimated Prophet >Eyes of the World >Drums >Space >The Other One, I Need a Miracle, She Belongs to Me, Sugar Magnolia, Satisfaction

Tasting Notes

The Estimated -> Eyes is exactly what we all hear in our head when we look back (we used to tour in the 80’s and early 90’s) and nothing compares to a Grateful Dead show. The Other One out of space is a blast as is Miracle to follow. The soul-searching tune is She Belongs To Me and we believe this is the last time played by The Grateful Dead. Sugar Mag gets everyone on their feet again and Satisfaction sends everyone home

So if you’re not going to see Dead and Company settle in for the real thing and give it a watch.
